Best acai bowls on the Big Island, hands down! JuiceBar 101 is located at the Mauna Lani shops and is a nice juice bar to go to. They make a creative acai bowl that is very flavorful and extremely healthy. As a model, I am a big health nut and it is important for me to be able to have food that cater to my diet and fits my healthy lifestyle. The meal options that they have available at JuiceBar 101 makes me appreciate having a restaurant that cares about the nutritional value of what you eat....

I can't help but love a good stop at a resplendent waterfall on the Hamakua Coast. UmaUma Falls was an amazing place to see and is a private waterfall on the Northeastern part of the island. I have been here a few times in my life and like to see the three tier waterfall that is 300 feet in height. It is pleasant to walk through the botanical gardens before seeing the grand waterfall. My father and I chose to go to UmaUma Falls after spending a day in Hilo together. We usually go on Saddle Road...

After looking at many inspiring posts that has come from Show 'Em it has encouraged me to share my story! 6 years ago I was a 16 year old with many fears because I was losing my health. What was even scarier was not knowing why I was sick. In two years I saw 17 different specialists traveling from doctor offices to hospitals trying to understand why my body was reacting differently. Trying to understand why I was having seizure like episodes with dry heaving, acid rush running up my nose,...

First year competing at the Vermont Open against a lot of rad girls! It was nice to meet a bunch of East Coast girls. These girls welcomed me with open arms excited that I lived in California and was from Hawaii. They really liked that I had traveled out there to compete in the Retro Pipe and Slalom event in Pro Class. I managed to walk away with 9th at the Retro Pipe and 11th at the Slalom. I had a good time at Stratton! Made new friends and saw a few old ones.

I was so excited because it was the last Rev Tour Pipe Stop of the season and at this contest I had managed to progress quite a bit with new tricks in the bag. It was a very foggy day where the rain had set in with winds and little snow left on grass. All that was left was a few street style rail features, jumps and of course the pipe. Seven Springs was closed down and the mountain was only operating for the Rev Tour. It was very special that the resort remained open for us that way we would be...

It was a good day despite the wind, fog and rain that had set in! Was scared that they were going to cancel the pipe stop of the tour like they had cancelled big air and slopestyle. One of the best pipe days I had ever had was at this contest and had a great time riding pipe! Mahalo Vonzipper for sending me new googles in time for the contest! I really appreciated it and was very blessed to have them! Thank you to my sponsors for helping me when it came to eating expenses for the days I was...

After the 2nd Annual Boreal Banked Slalom that occurred the day before I was ready the next day for the Mammoth Mountain Rev Tour Pipe Qualifiers. Was pleased on taking home 1st place at the Rev Tour Pipe Qualifiers and goggles the week before my Birthday! It was a sunny day with an amazing pipe! I felt so happy being able to go down there and compete having fun with my friends as well. My sponsors Volcom, Monster Energy, Von Zipper and 808 Surf N Skate were stoked with my results from the...

This was my second slalom contest ever and first professional slalom contest that I have ever done. It was very exciting to compete at this cool event that even had a roof top drop to shave 3 seconds off your time. I liked how FUN the event was and how many of my friends dressed up in costumes to celebrate the Aloha Spirit that was going on at the event. I managed to get 8th out of 16th and not to bad for my second slalom I have ever done (and never practicing for slaloms). Felt enthusiastic...

Aspen is a beautiful wonderful place that attracts snowboarders from all over the world! Once you go there you see why! I have never seen a more intense banked slalom course before in my life! I LOVED IT so much!! People kept saying that it is now the longest most challenging course in the United States. I was blessed with an opportunity to do runs on that course. It was awesome going through the very tight tree sections (very tight) with solid icy conditions and competing at an event where...
